Getting lil Kc dressed is both a chore as well as a joy. I already learned pretty quick in order to keep him laying on his back, so I could change his diaper, or get his clothes on, I have to keep him busy. Usually, I give him something to hold, or play with. What happens if I don’t? He turns over quicker then a bullet and takes off!

He sure knows how to make everything fun though. Whatever he has got his little hands on, he shakes Read the rest of this entry »

A very Happy and blessed New Year to all of you!!! :-)

I am going to start this new year by making a request and I will explain the how, what and why.

I have started a new blog called THE GRAND LIFE. The blog is about being grandparents, all the occurrences surrounding and involving our grandsons and their development, plus any related topic a grandparent could be faces with. You can find posts like ‘Critter’s Cooings’ Read the rest of this entry »

I was visiting with our daughter the other day and besides taking care of her own little ones, she was baby-sitting her neighbor’s 2-year old son as well. He and our oldest grandson get along well and like playing with each other.

Right after our grandson had a diaper change, he and his buddy disappeared in his room, each returning on a little car toy, driving behind each other through the living-room. My grandson drove up next to Read the rest of this entry »

Psoriatic arthritis is also known as psoriatic arthropathy or arthropathic psoriasis. It is a type of inflammatory arthritis that appears in 5 to 7 percent of individuals that suffer from psoriasis. What is also important to know is that 80 percent of individuals suffering from Read the rest of this entry »

Not too long ago, our youngest grand son made a huge discovery. Actually, he made two discoveries: his feet! They fascinate him to no end and he can spend quite a while grabbing them, examining them and munching on his little toes.

Playing Footsie

It is funny to see, how he frowns his little head, as he observes his little extremities. Especially his toes. Those things seem to wobble in every direction and he still hasn’t found Read the rest of this entry »

In my last post, I wrote about the benefits and drawbacks of wearing splints and tried to give some suggestions for complying with a splinting regimen. I also thought that it might be helpful to talk about splinting for kids, and from a kid’s perspective.

Splinting is a major treatment modality for kids. While it offers some of the same benefits as for adults, like joint protection and improved function, splints also help prevent Read the rest of this entry »

Our lil’ Casey keeps amazing me. He was 19 months old when he did this and I never suspected a boy his age could and would already have figured out things like this.

He was playing with an old phone, I gave him, since he loves to talk on and play with them. The phone had a long cord on it, but that did not seem to bother him at all.

I kept a close eye on him, because I anticipated he might get entangled in it. At one point, Read the rest of this entry »

Hiiii!!! Leo here.
I wanted to share my Birthday party with y’all. I turned one last Friday and we had my party on Saturday, at a small play-ground. It was great fun. Not that it made much sense to me. I still am not quite sure, why I got all those new toys, but I sure loved the cake!

Critters Ramblings III

I had it all to myself. I did not really know what to do with it at first, but mom showed me. She grabbed my hand, pushed it Read the rest of this entry »
